The fabric of mud - interactive stories and wetlands walk for families.

This is a family friendly event for adults and children (most suitable for 7-14 year olds). Parents are responsible for their children at all times. Join us for a muddy morning of discovery, activities and story telling about our local Bayswater wetlands in and around Riverside Gardens.

Learn about life along the river for Noongar people, about how a cow changed the fate of Anne Whatley and her family in September 1830, the story of the clay pit that became Gobba Lake, the hunt for a duck that turned a landfill site into a sanctuary and how baby turtles became heros and saved a wetland.

Mould clay, roast marshmallows around a fire and try your hand at making a boat that floats.

Event took place on Sunday 24 June 2018.
