Join Yann Toussaint as we construct a chicken coop at Enviro House. This hands-on workshop also will involve discussion about:

• site requirements
• coop design
• using and selecting new and upcycled materials
• predator proofing
• roosting requirements and,
• nest box design.

Morning tea provided. Please wear closed in shoes and a hat.

About the facilitator

This workshop will be facilitated by Yann Toussaint from the Rainbow Coast Community Garden. Yann has been keeping chicken for over 20 years and is a gardener, poet and sustainability educator who lives in Albany, Western Australia. A former nursery manager at Men of the Trees (now Trillion Trees), where he helped found the Children's Forest, he now runs the Rainbow Coast Neighbourhood Centre's Community Garden, delivers a wide range of sustainability workshops and teaches at the University of Western Australia's Albany Campus.
